In a patent filing recently won by Apple tree, information technology gives the company a huge leg up in wellness tracking with built-in blood pressure level monitoring.

A big potential win for Apple Watch 7

This is a major win for Apple, equally it continues to dominate the smartwatch space. The Cupertino-based company currently has the largest share of the smartwatch market at 36.3%. It'due south really a 13% decline from 2019 cheers to increased competition from Huawei and Samsung.

Apple tree isn't the first company to pursue blood pressure monitoring on a watch. The Samsung Galaxy Sentry three has blood pressure monitoring that needs to be calibrated alongside an actual blood pressure monitor. Only because of a lack of approval from the FDA, the feature is inactive in the United States.

Per a sit-in from YouTuber TechProz, he finds that the Galaxy Lookout 3 is relatively accurate, but recommends it should but be used equally a reference, and to not have medication solely on its readings.

If the Apple Lookout Serial 7 does include claret pressure monitoring, forth with the current blood oxygen monitoring institute in the Series 6, it would make the upcoming device greatly more avant-garde than its Android Clothing counterparts. And with Google all just abandoning Android Wear -- with the company removing weight training tracking and releasing YouTube Music on Apple tree Watch over Wear -- it will continue to give Apple an outsized presence.

Practise note that companies file patents all the time. And but because Apple tree has won a item patent doesn't mean it would pb to a quick public release. Apple could notwithstanding face up other testing or regulatory hurdles before a technology like this ever makes it to your local Best Buy.
